Quality through Repair: The Traditional Beechwood Darning Set

Why throw away your favorite clothes just because of a small hole? At HOFMEISTER®, we believe in mending. This darning set provides the right tools to carefully repair socks, gloves or sweaters. The duo of a classic darning mushroom and a handy darning egg made of untreated beechwood is an essential for every conscious home. The classic darning mushroom offers a wide, curved surface. It stretches the fabric evenly so you can mend holes in socks or tights cleanly and without distortion. The sturdy handle ensures stability while you work. With its compact size of 6 cm, the darning egg is the ideal partner for tricky areas: whether it's holes in the toe area of socks or mending children's clothing – the egg shape fits into narrow textiles. The set contains 1x darning mushroom and 1x darning egg (6 cm).

GENTLE ON FIBERS: Both darning aids are exceptionally smooth-sanded. This prevents wool from snagging, allowing you to guide the needle precisely without damaging the fabric.

FIGHT THROWAWAY CULTURE: Mending significantly extends the life of your garments. A statement for conscious consumption and against fast fashion.

NATURAL MATERIAL: Made from local beechwood, these tools are plastic-free, sturdy and feel wonderfully warm and comfortable in your hand.

VERSATILE APPLICATION: While the mushroom is ideal for sock heels and larger areas, the darning egg is perfect for glove fingertips or narrow sleeves.

TRADITIONAL DESIGN: These timeless helpers require no electricity or gimmicks – just pure functionality in masterful wooden quality.

A small hole is no reason to say goodbye: with the darning mushroom and egg, your favorite pieces stay with you for many more winters.
