This flat beech wood crêpe turner is designed for lifting, turning and folding thin crêpes and galettes. Its 30 cm length provides useful reach across crêpe makers and larger frying pans, while the slim shape can be guided underneath the cooked edge of the batter.

For crêpes, galettes and pancakes

The wooden turner is suitable for sweet and savoury crêpes, French galettes, thin pancakes and similar dishes. Once the cooked batter begins to release from the surface, carefully guide the flat spatula beneath the edge and gradually slide it further underneath.

The ease of turning will also depend on the batter consistency, cooking time, amount of fat and cooking surface. Particularly thin crêpes may tear when lifted before they have cooked sufficiently.

A 30 cm length for crêpe makers and larger pans

The approximately 30 cm length provides useful reach across a crêpe plate or larger frying pan. At around 40 g, the turner remains lightweight and easy to guide.

The turner and spreader have different functions

The crêpe turner is used after the batter has begun to cook. It is not designed to distribute liquid batter in a circular movement.

For traditional crêpe preparation, combine it with a T-shaped batter spreader. The spreader distributes the liquid batter, while the turner is used to loosen and flip the cooked crêpe.

Use and care

After use, wash by hand with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft sponge. Do not soak or place in a dishwasher. Dry thoroughly and allow the wood to air-dry completely.

Do not leave the turner resting on the hot cooking surface, place it in an oven or microwave, or expose it to open flames. When required, apply a small amount of care oil suitable for wooden kitchen utensils to the dry wood.

Please note: Do not continue using the crêpe turner if it develops cracks, splinters, significant warping or a noticeably rough surface. It is a kitchen utensil and not a toy.
