One butter mould with four decorative designs

This rectangular maple wood butter mould turns a simple portion of butter into a decorative feature for breakfasts, brunches and special tables. Choose between four recessed designs: floral relief, daisy, goat or gentian.

Choose a design to suit the occasion

Floral relief: The ornamental combination of flowers and leaves is suitable for breakfasts, weddings, birthdays and special tables.

Daisy: The single stylised flower has a light, botanical appearance and is particularly suitable for spring, Easter, garden celebrations, weddings and brunches.

Goat: The animal design is an individual choice for goat farms, farm dairies, rural cafés, country hotels and gifts with an agricultural theme.

Gentian: The floral design has an alpine character and suits mountain lodges, country hotels, regional food businesses and traditionally arranged tables.

For approximately 125 g of butter

The mould is designed for a compact butter portion of around 125 g. The exact quantity may vary slightly depending on how firmly the butter is packed, whether air pockets remain and how far the mixture extends above the edge.

The wooden mould does not produce butter from cream. It is intended for portioning, shaping and decorating butter that has already been purchased or prepared separately.

How to use the butter mould

Rinse the mould before use in accordance with the supplied care instructions. Cool the inside thoroughly under very cold water for one to two minutes. This keeps the wood cool and helps the finished butter release more easily.

Fill the oval cavity with butter that is soft enough to spread but still able to retain its shape. Press it carefully into the detailed areas of the design and try to avoid trapping large air pockets. The butter may extend slightly above the edge.

Place the filled mould in the refrigerator for approximately three to four minutes. Position a plate or small serving board over the opening, turn both together and slowly lift the wooden mould straight away from the butter.

The chosen design appears as a raised relief

The pattern is recessed into the inside of the mould. The soft butter is pressed into these detailed areas and the design appears raised after the portion has been turned out.

The clarity of the relief will depend on the butter temperature, even filling, chilling time and careful release. Minor variations are normal because each portion is shaped by hand.

Use butter with the right consistency

The butter should be workable while remaining firm enough to retain its shape. Very hard refrigerated butter will be difficult to press into the fine details. Butter that is too soft may stick to the wood or lose its outline after release.

Firm herb or seasoned butter may also be used when the ingredients are finely distributed and do not obstruct the smaller details of the design.

For breakfasts, brunches and special tables

The shaped butter portion is suitable for family breakfasts, Sunday brunches, buffets, traditional meals and celebrations. Instead of serving butter directly from its packaging, the mould creates a compact oval portion with a visible relief.

Serve the butter on a chilled plate, suitable serving board or inside a butter dish. In warm rooms, remove it from the refrigerator shortly before serving.

Pale maple wood with natural grain

Maple wood has a pale colour and generally fine, understated grain. This allows the recessed designs to remain clearly visible and gives the mould a calm, traditional appearance.

Wood is a natural material, so its colour, grain and minor surface features may vary slightly from one item to another. These variations form part of the mould’s natural character.

A simple mould without moving parts

The butter mould consists of one compact wooden body and requires no electricity or moving mechanism. A separate lid, plunger or ejector is not included with this version.

To release the butter, turn the chilled portion onto a plate or board and carefully lift the mould away. Avoid striking the wooden mould against crockery or a work surface.

Personalised on the exterior

A suitable smooth exterior surface can be personalised with laser engraving or hot branding on request. Short names, initials, dates, farm or lodge names and simplified logos are particularly suitable.

The oval cavity, relief and all direct food-contact surfaces remain free from engraving. The position and design size are checked before personalisation.

For farm shops, dairies and country hotels

The four designs allow businesses to select a mould that suits their setting. Floral designs are suitable for guest houses and events, the goat for farms and dairies, and the gentian for alpine hospitality and tourism.

With exterior engraving, the mould can be used as a gift for dairies, farm shops, country hotels, regional food brands and corporate events. The engraving, quantity, packaging and delivery time can be coordinated for larger orders.

Cleaning and drying

Follow the product-specific care instructions supplied with the item. Remove butter residue promptly after use and carefully clean the detailed recesses of the relief by hand.

Do not soak or place in a dishwasher. Remove excess water and allow the mould to air-dry completely with the opening facing downwards or resting on its side.

Do not dry on a radiator, in direct sunlight or in a permanently damp environment. Do not freeze the wooden mould or place it in an oven or microwave.

Check before every use

Inspect the mould for cracks, splinters, heavily roughened areas and residue inside the relief. Do not continue using a damaged or insufficiently cleaned mould for food.
