Modern knife block in oak and steel – your knives on display

Good knives are a tool you can be proud of – and yet they often end up in a drawer, somewhere between the whisk and the tin opener. This knife block gives them a place where they can be seen. A bar of solid, oiled oak rests on an open frame of bent, dark powder-coated steel. A slot runs along the full length of the wooden bar: you hang your knives into it from above, the handle rests on top of the wood and the blade hangs freely in the open frame below. The surface of the wood is velvety smooth and invites you to run your hand over it. Measuring 34 x 24 x 7 cm, the knife block stands slim and clean-lined on your worktop, on the kitchen island or on the sideboard of an open-plan kitchen. It is made in Europe.

HANG YOUR KNIVES FROM ABOVE: The slot runs along the entire length of the wooden bar. This lets you hang several knives side by side and take each one out again in one movement – no searching, no rattling drawer.

BLADES ON SHOW: Below the wood, the frame is open. Whether it is the chef's knife you wanted for a long time or the knife you use to slice the bread every Sunday – here you show off your knives instead of hiding them away.

VELVETY OAK: The wooden bar is made of solid wood and finished with oil, bringing out the warmth of the grain. Its velvety surface is the difference between mere storage and a piece you enjoy touching. Wood is a natural product – every block has its own pattern.

STEADY STANCE: Rubber pads sit on the underside of the frame. They keep the knife block standing steadily on the worktop while you take out or hang up a knife.

OAK MEETS STEEL: The dark powder-coated frame and the warm wood create a clear contrast. Its straight lines make the knife block a calm, modern piece in your kitchen.

A knife block that shows what you cook with: an oak bar on a simple steel frame, with a velvety surface and a permanent place for your favourite knives.
