Autumn and winter are nut season. Whether for cooking, baking cakes, or as a snack between meals: nuts are a real superfood and provide us with healthy fats and proteins that our bodies urgently need, especially in the gray season.

All nuts can be cracked with our handy mushroom-shaped nutcracker. Whether you prefer walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, or macadamia nuts, this mushroom can crack even nuts with hard shells.

Simply place the desired nut in the wooden mushroom, place your palm over the opening, and turn the mushroom head. The cover over the opening prevents the shells from flying around your home. Also suitable for children and seniors: the force exerted by the wooden screw makes it possible to crack nuts without much effort. Another big advantage of our nutcracker is that even if you are not careful, your fingers or skin will not get caught.

The nutcrackers are made from local beech wood and then oiled. Thanks to the high-quality oiling, this nutcracker can also be used as a decoration. Beech is a hardwood that is particularly durable and well suited for kitchen and household items. If the thread becomes difficult to turn or squeaks, simply add a drop of sunflower oil.

Even the youngest among us can easily crack nuts or use the nutcracker to make animals out of chestnuts thanks to its larger head and ergonomic shape. The approx. 4 cm opening at the front allows you to clamp the chestnuts in place to drill a hole in them.

Our tip: Before cracking the toughest nuts, place them in the freezer for an hour or soak them in water overnight. This will make the shell easier to crack. Promise! Another advantage: You will usually get whole halves.
