Note: Oak wood is known for containing particularly high levels of tannins. The soap dish may discolor and leave brownish stains when it comes into contact with water and soap. This is not dirt, but natural tannins in the wood that protect the tree from pests and have an antibacterial effect. The tannic acid is gradually washed out over time, so this phenomenon will diminish.

Das Holz färbt tatsächlich ab und die Seife sieht wie gegrillt aus… Hellbraune Streifen. Mich stört das nicht.🙂

Hallo Brunhilde, Eichenholz enthält natürliche Gerbstoffe (Tannine), die bei Feuchtigkeit leichte Verfärbungen an der Seife verursachen können. Das ist ein ganz normaler, unbedenklicher Effekt von unbehandeltem Massivholz und ein Zeichen für die Natürlichkeit des Materials. Schön, dass es Sie nicht stört – viel Freude weiterhin mit der Seifenschale!
