For solid soap and a cleaner wash area

Solid soap needs a place where water can drain away. The grooves help reduce soap residue and standing moisture. This keeps the wash area tidier and lets the soap sit more neatly than on a flat surface.

Olive wood with character

Olive wood is known for its lively grain. Colour and structure may naturally vary. That is exactly what makes the soap dish special: it looks warm, Mediterranean and honest rather than industrial.

Note on natural tannins

When in contact with water and soap, natural tannins from the olive wood may initially appear as brownish marks. This is not dirt, but a natural property of the wood and will lessen over time.

Care

Clean with a slightly damp cloth if needed, remove soap residue and allow to dry well. Do not leave permanently in water. For care, occasionally rub in a thin layer of olive oil or suitable cooking oil and allow it to dry completely.
