Choose the right wooden whisk for the bowl and quantity

This traditional beechwood hand whisk is available in three sizes. Choose a compact version for small portions, a versatile everyday length or a larger whisk with greater reach for bigger bowls and taller containers.

16 cm: approx. 16 × 3.7 × 3.7 cm, weight approx. 20 g – for cups and small bowls
25 cm: approx. 25 × 4 × 4 cm, weight approx. 30 g – a versatile size for bowls and saucepans
30 cm: approx. 30 × 5.5 × 5.5 cm, weight approx. 50 g – greater reach and the largest whisking head

16 cm for small quantities

The short whisk is easy to guide inside small bowls, cups and beakers. It is suitable for whisking a single egg, combining a small amount of dressing or sauce and stirring drinks or desserts.

Its compact size requires very little storage space. The 16 cm version is a regular kitchen utensil and is not sold as a toy.

25 cm as a versatile all-rounder

The medium size is suitable for many everyday mixing tasks. At 25 cm long, it can be used in standard mixing bowls and saucepans without feeling unnecessarily large for smaller quantities.

It is a useful choice for eggs, sauces, dressings, thin pancake mixtures and other light batters.

30 cm for larger bowls and taller containers

The large whisk offers more reach and has the widest head of the three versions at approximately 5.5 cm. It is suitable for larger mixing bowls, taller containers and somewhat greater quantities.

Despite its larger dimensions, it remains a lightweight wooden utensil. Use a stronger specialist tool for dense bread or yeast dough, heavy dumpling mixtures and other particularly firm preparations.

Rotate the whisk between the palms

Hold the stem between both palms and move your hands quickly in opposite directions. This rotates the wooden head and moves the ingredients through the container.

The speed and pressure can be adjusted to suit the mixture. A wire whisk or electric mixer will generally be more efficient for very stiff egg whites, highly aerated whipped cream or large quantities.

For sauces, eggs and light batters

The wooden hand whisk is intended for combining and stirring liquid to light mixtures. Typical uses include scrambled eggs, omelette mixtures, salad dressings, sauces, pudding mixtures, thin batters and small dessert portions.

It may also help work softer foods or press suitable sauces and soups through a sieve. Do not force the wooden arms against hard ingredients, sieves or the edge of the container.

Beechwood with a natural feel

Beechwood has a pale, understated appearance and a naturally warm feel. During mixing, there is no hard wire contact of the kind produced by a metal whisk.

Wood is a natural material, so colour, grain and minor surface characteristics may vary slightly from one item to another. These variations form part of the product’s natural appearance.

No electricity or complicated mechanism

The whisk requires no electricity, batteries or moving metal parts. After use, it fits neatly inside a drawer or kitchen utensil container.

Hofmeister has its wooden products made in family-run workshops and supplies the whisks in plastic-free packaging. A specific country of manufacture is not stated for the individual versions.

Personalised as a gift or promotional item

Laser engraving or hot branding can be added to the wooden stem on request. Initials, short names, dates, small symbols and simplified logos are particularly suitable.

The possible design size depends on the selected length and the available stem area. The 25 and 30 cm versions provide slightly more space for lettering than the compact 16 cm whisk.

For business customers, the wooden whisk is suitable for cookery schools, farm shops, holiday accommodation, hotels, food producers and kitchen-themed campaigns. The design, quantity and packaging can be coordinated for larger orders.

Use and care

Clean the whisk before first use in accordance with the supplied care and safety instructions. After use, wash it by hand with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft sponge.

Do not soak or place in a dishwasher. Dry thoroughly and allow the wood to air-dry completely. When required, apply a small amount of care oil suitable for wooden kitchen utensils to the dry wood.

Do not leave the whisk standing in a hot saucepan, place it in an oven or microwave, or expose it to open flames.

Please note: Do not continue using the whisk if it develops cracks, splinters, significant warping or damaged wooden arms. It is a kitchen utensil and not a toy.
