A rustic wooden beer mug with a barrel-shaped design

The Römer beer mug combines a gently curved wooden body with two contrasting wooden bands and a curved handle. Its combination of oak and sweet cherry gives the mug a warm, two-tone appearance.

Oak and sweet cherry in natural contrast

The darker wooden body is combined with lighter wooden elements. The surrounding bands emphasise the barrel-shaped silhouette and give the mug its distinctive rustic character.

Wood is a natural material. Its colour, grain and fibre pattern may vary slightly from one mug to another. These differences make every item visually individual.

For cool drinks

The mug is intended for cool or cold drinks. Do not use it for hot beverages and avoid sudden or extreme changes in temperature.

Its stated capacity is approximately 0.5 litres. The mug is not identified as a certified capacity serving measure and should not be used for the commercial sale of a measured quantity without further verification.

A wooden mug without visible metal bands

Many contemporary wooden beer mugs use metal hoops or a removable stainless-steel cup. The Römer model instead has an entirely wooden appearance with contrasting wooden bands.

Cleaning after use

Empty the mug promptly after use and wash it by hand with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Do not leave beer or other drink residue inside the wooden vessel for an extended period.

Do not soak or place in a dishwasher. Remove excess water after washing and allow the mug to dry completely with sufficient air circulation.

Dry the wood gently

Do not dry in direct sunlight, on a radiator, near a fireplace or with hot air. Rapid or uneven drying may encourage cracks, distortion or open joints.

Store the completely dry mug in a dry, well-ventilated place. Do not keep it permanently inside damp cupboards or closed packaging.

Inspect before every use

Check the mug for cracks, splinters, loose wooden bands, open joints and damage to the handle. Initially fill it over a suitable surface and check that the base and sides remain watertight.

Do not continue using a damaged or leaking mug as a drinking vessel.

Caring for the wooden surface

Follow the supplied care instructions. Use only a care oil that has been recommended by the manufacturer and is suitable for the intended contact with beverages.

Apply it sparingly to the clean and completely dry mug and remove excess oil. Do not use the mug again until the treatment has been completed in accordance with the oil manufacturer’s instructions.

Important information

Do not use in a microwave, oven, dishwasher or freezer. Do not fill with boiling or hot beverages and do not heat over a naked flame.

Do not strike the mug forcefully against other drinking vessels. Strong impacts or existing cracks may damage wooden components.
